Biography

William Greene was born in 1684 at Plymouth Colony, son of William and Elizabeth (Warren) Greene, William Greene was born on 24 April 1684 in Plymouth, Plymouth Colony, the son of William and Elizabeth (Warren) Green, a descendant of Pilgrim Richard Warren.[1][2]

He married first Desire Bacon 23 or 25 March 1709 in Barnstable, Barnstable, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[3][2]

He married secondly to Mary Fuller on 01 September 1731 in Barnstable.[4] There were no children of this second marriage.[2]

He passed away 28 Jan 1756 over the age of 70 at Barnstable.[2]

On 16 Mar 1756 letters of administration were issued to Warren Green, blacksmith of Middletown, Connecticut to administer the estate of his father William Green of Barnstable yeoman.[6]

His inventory was taken on 17 March 1756 in Barnstable. In 1757, an account of his estate by Warren Green included doctor, debts paid, allowance to the widow, appraisers, and administration fees.[7]

Warren, of Middletown, as the eldest son, received land in Barnstable if he paid shares to the other children: William, John, Desire Hinckley, and Sarah Barker. Also mentioned were the children of Mary Barker, deceased: Mercy, Josiah, Lucy, Content, Bathsheba, and Zipporah Barker, all minors.[2][8]
