History of Schley County, Georgia" compiled and sponsored by the Schley Co, Preservation Society, c. 1982, W H Wolfe & Associates, Roswell, GA page 180, lists her as the 2nd wife of Wiley Carter. She was Mrs. Sarah Wilson, widow, of Newton Co, when Wiley married her about 1849 in Warren Co, Ga. Sarah married a Mr. Ross after Wiley's death, according to this article, which quotes from a longer article by Kenneth H. Thomas Jr which first appeared in "Georgia Life" Magazine, winter of 1976...
