Jane Baldwin

NOT the daughter of Henry Robinson and Elizabeth Orvice, of Fairsted, Essex.

Not the same as Robert Baldwin, of Reading who married Joane 'Jane' Baldwin.

This Robert Baldwin was the son of Henry Baldwin and Alice Kinge. He married Joane Robinson.

We have the correct Robert Baldwin's [son of Henry Baldwin and Alice King] will and he only has one daughter, Anne.

"Joane and husband Robert, yeoman, resided on lands obtained by inheritance from his father, Henry, and at lands in Flaunden, and Northchurch, Hertfordhire .[4][3]"

"The death date for Joane (Robinson) Baldwin is not known. Her husband's will indicates that he predeceased her,[2] so her death date is listed after 1605 at Northchurch, Hertfordshire where they and they daughter were residing."

We can be rather sure that Henry Baldwin and Alice did not have two sons named Robert, one born 1562, Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, married Joane Robinson and another born 1573, Reading, Berkshire. The confusion appears to derive from secondary sources (e.g., Dicken, Terrell Genealogy) showing a Robert Baldwin of Reading married to Joane Pigeone in Reading, 1590.
