Elizabeth, daughter of Christopher and Mary (Scott) Holder, born Jan. 4, 1665, did not die young as some have suggested, but was living unmarried in 1682. She married John Alloway of Minehead County, Somerset, England, before July 29, 1715, and died before that date. On this date John Alloway, her widower, and Mary Alloway, their daughter, sold half of Patience Island, R. I., to Peleg Slocum, husband of her sister Mary.
