About Colonel Joseph Reynolds
Inherited and lived in father's estate in Bristol. Married Miss Sarah Cox in 1770 dau. of William Cox, a joiner. Their children were all raised in the old home.
He withdrew from the Congregational Church as part of a protest directed to political sermons, and joined Michael's Episcopal Church.
Served as Justice of Supreme Court of RI from 1801 - 1811.
