David was one of the first cancer doctors in the country. He paid for my grandmother's father Leon "Tony" Leach to go to medical school to work with him. He was supposed to be on the Titanic but turned his ticket in and came back a day earlier. He was quite accomplished. I have known about him since I was little as he was my grandmother's grandfather, her mother was Hallie Maud Bye Leach. She died when my grandmother and her brothers and sisters were fairly young and he remarried and they all lived in Indianapolis. I have been to the family graveyard there with all of them buried together. My grandmother Susan Mary Leach Finney is buried in Montclair, NJ where we all lived in our Finney family plot.
