I wander if there are any?

I joined because my direct maternal DNA very closely matches the mother of the earliest Rabbi Katzenellenbogen but as I am Sephardi it must be from the Padua Sephardi who intermarried with the Katzen rabbis.

The Katzenlenbogen family was originally from Germany, and from there they moved to live in Italy...

the earliest mother I was able to find in Katzenlenbogen family was:

Livo Minz

J-L283? or J-L823?

J-L283 or J-Y37847

Thanks,
I ask because a comment brings in a mention of the Katzenellenbogen lineage.

J-L823, (8-2-3), has been found to comprise the genetic signature for the Katzenellenbogen rabbinical lineage, per work by Paull, Rosenstein, and Briskman:

My mtdna is now updated by FTDNA as: J2a1a1+16261+215

With only 4 close matches in Algeria, Spain, Portugal and England. I am close to the guy's mum below. I think! I am related to the Henrique de la Fuente family but most were wiped out in Holland so I never get an exact match. We came over to UK in 1700s. Anyway. I'll keep trying to find my family..
