This is not the first time I have not been able to resolve one I merged and manage--- I recently tried to clear one that was in my requests that someone else merged and it wouldn't let me. That one said I couldn't send myself a request lol
Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087 -- I think you're going to need to file a help ticket about the data conflict issue...it sounds like a bug. Share that example plus the other one you ran into (if you still remember it).
I'm deeply sorry about your cousin's death. I've reached out to Geni about that one for you; only they can change the status. I also pointed out your other questions involving that request.
Hi, Joan ... for a claimed (a.k.a. user) profile to be marked Deceased it needs to be "Reported" through the Action button's menu ... so that Geni staff can do necessary behind-the-scenes clean-up before it is set as Deceased.
(FYI: I think the birth year is 1941 .... Colonel Joel Andrew Hawkins, VietNam War Veteran )

Private User -- I'm going to ask Geni CS to handle this one for you. Here's why:
We can't edit relationships on claimed profiles without the users themselves asking us to do it.
Private User is an active user, so if she comes to this thread and asks us to remove Andrea as her parent, we can do that. (She's still welcome to do that!)
But for Adam and Andrea, it would be more difficult because we'd need their permission as well, and it looks like they aren't actively on the site any longer.
I wish I could simply hit "undo" for you, but unfortunately the merge was done so long ago that it isn't possible.

I have removed Andrea as your parent, but I can't edit who is assigned as Adam or Andrea's mother without their permission. Since I understand that's probably a huge hassle to get them to log in and post here, especially since it's been years since they've used their accounts, I can file a ticket to ask Customer Service to handle it -- would that work?
