What a pleasure to have known such a wonderful genealogist and worked and researched together on many other forums. Always willing to walk the extra mile even with the most unpleasant customers.

Your contribution and support will be missed.

This is indeed sad news - two genealogists that helped me grow in so many ways ... first Dries and now Judi ... I handed the profiles I added/manage over to Judi to curator as I myself struggle with illness and am not always able to be online ... who is taking over Judiths profiles to curator?

No specific Curator has taken over curating Judi's MP's - they are available to be curated by any curator interested. If you have queries regarding any of these profiles send a message to the managers, or start a discussion linked to the profile, or perhaps to her memorial project https://www.geni.com/projects/Judi-Meyer-1951-2022-Memorial-Page/4488853. - making sure to add a link to the profile concerned.

! --and that has left chaos with profiles.
Locked fields with wrong information on MP and other profiles with NO curator attached now to unlock so it can be corrected .
Raats and Jooste ancestors good examples .
I try to ignore but this can not just be left as is.
Other SA curators than June Barnes ( whom already do too much ) should surely then take over those profiles?

Most of the active curators are curate thousands of profiles. Any curator can help on Judi's profiles - add a request on https://www.geni.com/discussions/245980?msg=1586948 with link to the profile for unlocking etc. Also look to see if any curators are managers of profiles where help is needed and message them.

You were saying June ?

Just more wasted time

Phillipp Weyers (R-U106) Jacob Jooste is not locked, (you might want to send a message to all managers about the changes you want to do).
Please write to the curator who curates Jacobus van den Berg, about the title.

There is also an option to start a discussion on the profile.

Now where do I add the other more than a thousand other similar profiles ? Then get the same response ?

I have unlocked the fields. will set up a specific discussion for ~Judi's profiles.

Thank you June

Dear Judi, thank you for all the help you gave me to understand the do's and don'ts of this platform we both love with our heart and soul in a period not everything was that clear for new-coming users from Europe who are not that familiar with writing and reading the English language...

I just discovered this curator-loss for the geni-family and hope you may R.I.P., dear geni-sister. We'll meet again, I'm sure! If not in heaven, then everytime I meet one of the enormous amount of profiles you started, documented, corrected or whatever was necessary to contribute to the growth and succes of Geni.
