I have many friends and relatives who are Dr , Prof have a LLB or PhD or many other qualifications that they choose not have on their profiles on GENI Even asked by some to remove it .The individual 's choice.

Does it have a genealogical value ? No I do not think having a PhD or being a Professor or a Pastor have any genealogical value or gives the information supplied by that individual more credence.
e.g. Unless a medical DR gives medical advice that would be relevant. As for that seen blatant errors on Projects on Geni with a Nurse acting as the source of information.
But look at Covid19 vaccination with many medical professionals having different opinions and views.

---surely adding incorrect information to any profile is vandalism same as removing or changing correct information .
Insisting on that incorrect information to remain amounts to the same when verifiable primary sources prove that those old incorrect date is wrong.

Following proper primary sources there is no need for these DVN numbers . No wrong mergers will just happen , no wrong parents or children can be added with primary sources as the origin of Information .
