These children on Johannes Jacobus Coetzee 's DN tally with most of the children given as majors on Hester Hendrina Coetzee 's DN in 1866

It's hard to figure out how Hubrey Catherina Florina went from a major in 1866 at her mother's death, to a minor - Hubrey Catherina Florina Francina - in 1876 at her father's death.

Given that Johannes is still listed as married in 1876 - should we assume thatt the first Hubrey died or dissappeared, and this similarly named one is a new child from a second marriage?

I'm going to assume that Johannes Jacobus Coetzee (d 1876) has a marriage subsequent to that with Hester Hendrina Van der Walt (d 1866), and there is a child called Hubrey Catherina Florina Francina (named for her dead half sister and her paternal aunt) born to this marriage, who is still alive in 1876 when her elderly father dies.
