Yep, Catherine was a red herring. I don't know where she goes. One source had John married to Patience Lewis and I know that's a lie. Nothing found on it anywhere.

About Grace Boswell Hardy marrying her brother John Harrell, I believe Grace's father was William James Boswell. After his death Grace's mother Ann Smith then married John Harrell. So perhaps Grace married her step-brother and not her brother? The whole thing is very confusing!

As to John Harrell marrying a Grace Hardy, do you know who her Hardy parents were? I could never find any type of verification for a Grace Hardy and I believe this is incorrect.

I don't see where Grace married her brother unless someone has done a merge from Hades. I haven't looked lately and don't have time. She was a totally separate branch back in October so if something has changed, it is not good.

Her profile also notes that her parents are unknown. I don't know where you have the idea that "Grace's mother Ann Smith then married John Harrell." Ann Smith was the mother of John Harrell. Look at the tree. Ann was married to John Tyler Harrell of Nansemond, father to John Harrell who married Grace. Please look at the tree.
