Too many children

Hi cousins, I happened to be passing through grandfather Richard Church and notice that there are 5 additional children included in his profile that should be deleted or at the very least unconnected.

I think the 15 must have come from the 1913 book by John Church, but many of his entries are not accurate. He has by mistake Elizabeth (died young), Richard, Hannah, Lydia, and Priscilla.

After the changes, the profiles should be locked since a lot of people probably have the older wrong info.

The most current info is at his NEHGS Great Migration Listing at americanancestors.org I don't know the Vol, but his listing starts on page 360 if you have the books, and 10 children on 362-363.

The 10 children are also listed in other comments included in his profile. The NEHGS listing refers to the definitive research on the kids published 1985. They say that they disagree slightly with some of his dates, but otherwise agree.

1.Elizabeth died young should be deleted. There was only 1 Elizabeth, born abt 1636 and married Caleb Hobart. I think she must be listed 3rd instead because a number of references talk about the 1st and 2nd sons, and maybe people thought 1st and 2nd children, but she was the first child.

2. Richard. No record ever found other than the 1913 book and then a listing in the old Warren Silverbook, which listed 11 children,,,, but a more current compiler wrote the 1985 article and it was later deleted..

3. Hannah - Hannah Chubbock is the kid baptized on that date, and a later generation Hannah Church married the guy listed.Peter Surtevant.

4. Lydia - No record other than 1913 listing.

5. Priscilla - if you go to the citation that is included in his profile comments, it says that that info from Little River is a mistake and that John Irish's wife was Priscilla (Southworth) Talbot instead of Priscilla Church. (note that the 1913 book listing says Deborah also might have married John Irish).. but neither did.
