Resaerchers Note Know the families Around you as they came together in Groups-Clans settled by known families

This is the Richard Goode and his allied families of Wales, to England AKA Bennett-Goode-Dodson-Johnson-Eppes Pace of Colonial Va. lots more on Winston-Coleman Families of Town Fork
April 16, 1796. Charles Clark, guard, to his nephew, Charles Small-wood (age 13 yrs. Dec. 6 next), apprentices the sd. Smallwood to Charles Bennet of Spots. Co., Blacksmith, etc., etc. Witnesses, Robert Spilsbe Coleman, Zachariah Shackelford. July 5, 1796.

Several notes on profile say he is Robert or Robert S and not Robert Spilsby Coleman but I do believe he is Robert Spilsbe/Spilsby Coleman. Grandson of Ann Hunter and the Spilsby name is common as he passed it down to his own son.

I removed this from the About as I do not believe it is him.
He is seen as son of Richard. Not Daniel:

An E-Mail from Sherry Nicole February 2001 =

With help from Mike Coleman and Prentice Darnell, the puzzle of Robert S. Coleman's ancestry has been solved. Mistakes made with his middle name and county of birth set this research back for decades. Robert's middle name was not "Spilsbe", at least not in any legal records, or in the sense of being crucial to the identity of his ancestry. He and his son were not born in Culpeper Co. VA, either. In all official legal records, he was "Robert S. Coleman" and should not be referred to by any other name.

I only place this here to show that I am not simply removing information but attempting to add sources and remove errors.

I am connected as descendant of Capt. Robert Coleman and Ann Spilsby who married him and later a John Hunter after Richard's death.

A descendant notes on his FaG memorial:
Evidence does not support Martha Sharpe as the mother of Robert's first two children, who were born in Virginia.
--Elizabeth "Betsy", born about 1774; married Richard "Dickie" Carter Stubblefield Jr., son of Richard Carter Stubblefield and Susannah Carter
--Robert Spillsby "Spill", born Feb. 26, 1776; married Rebecca C. Terry, daughter of Peter Terry and Rebeccah Terry

I am looking for dates of marriage to Sarah Story and then Martha Sharp.
