I notice in Dr. J. Hoge, Personalia of the Germans at the Cape, 1652-1806, Archives Year Book for South African History on page 73 the following:
Diedrich, Matthias (S). __? Burgher at Stellenbosch (1692). ~Maria Willems. 2 children. (MR. Vrye Lieden 1692-1700; Attestation of 4.7.1692 in Stellenbosch Arch., vol 620; Test. in Stellenbosch Arch. vol. 646:31.)
1. Is this the same person as the husband of Maria Willemse referred to by June Barnes above (and by others elsewhere)?
2. Is there somebody who know the particulars of the 2 children mentioned by Hoge?
