Terry Jackson (Switzer) Here are two links that may come in handy. Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Thanks Charmaine, I have added the regions to the International Place projects however they should really have projects attached to them. Given my lack of SA knowledge and that I have no SA ancestry I had hoped that people involved in SA would take this on. i.e. linking projects to this index. It may be that there are as yet no place projects for SA. Someone may want to start some if that is the case as genealogy can be assisted so much by local history.
Thanks guys - I've been pondering what to do on this for a couple of days now. We've got a Places section on the Welkom Cuzzins page http://www.geni.com/projects/South-Africans-Geni-Landing-Site-WELKO... for existing SA Place Projects.
I can't figure out if we're meant to create empty projects for all the SA places there are today (surely thousands?), and then what about place names that existed in the past - where regions have changed today?
I like the idea of Place Projects - I think they're definitely the coming thing - but I hate the idea of empty projects...
Brendan Swemmer & Private User - if the two of you come up with a solution, or create a project and need Curator tools - just yell.
Sharon Doubell maybe we can just link existing project to the Places project, that's what I would do. Not sure how others feel about this.
I agree with Charmaine, please just add whatever place projects you can. There may be a need for creating index sub-projects but you shouldn't need to create empty working projects.
Sorry for not posting the link to the project. It is http://www.geni.com/projects/International-Places-Project-Index/27254 but I should point out that we may need to delete this - see Mike's Comment in the discussion: http://www.geni.com/discussions/149215?msg=1038304
I started this project in good faith having been made unwelcome by Victar and he agreed but then deleted this message.
