My name is Xavier Matheu de Cortada, and I am writing to introduce myself as a descendant of Manuel Pastor y Landero. Recently, I discovered a fascinating chapter of my family’s history: my great-great-grandfather, Manuel Pastor y Landero, had a relationship with Eugenia Teves Villamil in the mid-19th century in Dumaguete, from which at least one daughter, Carmen Pastor Teves, was born. While Manuel had another family in Spain, of which I am a descendant, learning about his connection to the Teves family has inspired me to reach out and connect with those who share this lineage.
As Vicente Anunciación Teves and Rufina Villamil also form part of this remarkable family tree, I hope to meet relatives or individuals who have knowledge about the descendants of these ancestors. I plan to visit the Philippines soon and will be in Manila from March 28 to April 1 and in Dumaguete from April 1 to 10. Would it be possible to meet with you during this time, either in Manila or Dumaguete, to exchange information and get to know each other? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or guidance you could provide to help me connect with relatives and descendants from our common ancestors.
