Queen as a family name,as an ethnonym of Kwen people and as a common expression may all have the same origin and may be derived of the Amazonian word 'co(n)ya' designating queens of Amazons .
This is involved in the Amazon exonym Conya-Puyara and likely in the name a queen of the tribe at the time of the Spanish conquest called Conyori . Also the ethnonym Coaya ,referring to the Arara / Kwazá people may have the same origin not unlike the title used by Incas for the queens of the realm . German Kwen could thus be formed by adding an 'en' word to these .
The expression might have been popularized in Europe also by Chuud people descending from Ayar Udchu , brother of the Inca Manco ,after whom Ayacuchu town might be called : Aya-Ku-Udchu . But it is there already in the name of the site Kuelap ( Kwen-Lapp ) built in a yet unknown time by Chachapoya nation likely of descent from Acha-Pawaya-Na son of Ganda, called alternatively Atche-Feyenna,ancestor of Finn or Lapp people .
Kven people now may be descended maternally from the Amazon queens and paternally from Chuds or Mantsis or from other peoples .
Amazons in the beginning were ethnivcally wild-boars but then some of their women turned into Delphins and then to River Horses to rule in Mali and in Amazigh country before being married by Incas .
