About the Ladd surname

Sue Carol was a Sue Lederer. She married Alan Ladd, (second wife). Not sure why the name change. Am wondering if she is related to my gg grandmother, Margaretha Louise Karoline Lederer of Mequon, Wisconsin. I have been Mt DNA tested and was found to be Haplogroup "T2g2" Tested at Genebase.com; Ancestry.com; FamilyTree.com and NatGeo Geno Project. Would be great to find family. Hope you have all been DNA tested. It sure helps!
