About Yuyito González

She was born in 1960 in the Caballito neighborhood, the daughter of a middle-class home. She dropped out of school at the age of 16 without completing her studies. In 1982 she met Pepe Parada and Gerardo Sofovich in a restaurant, who facilitated her entry into the world of Argentine showbiz.1 Her nickname Yuyito, with which she achieved numerous successes, was attributed to her for the role of a sexy gardener she played on television in the program La peinado de don Mateo.

In 1995 she served as the involuntary inspiration for the salsa song "Talento de Televisión" by singer Willie Colón and Venezuelan composer Amílcar Boscán. Her poor performance in dancing to the Caribbean rhythm was the trigger that inspired the salsa success, apart from other limitations that were included in the lyrics.

Since 2023 she has hosted a magazine on a subscription television channel in Argentina.
