Wilma R.Bluntzer, 80, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

She was a widow from her late husband Carl F. Bluntzer and her first husband Phil Hermes. She is also preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Bower and her brother Leroy Rankin.

During her life time, Mrs. Bluntzer worked many years as a legal secretary. She also was a 21 year Nueces County employee, working in the County Clerk's Office and later as the Administrative Assistant to the County Judge.

She is survived by her sons Jim Hermes (Mary Ann) of Sugarland, Texas and Chris Bluntzer of Corpus Christi. She is also survived by her grandchildren Todd Hermes and Jeff Hermes; her great-grandchildren Jamie, Allison, Audrey, Justin, and Matthew Philip Hermes all from Sugarland, Texas.

Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 26, 2003 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. The Funeral Service, under the direction of Rev. Fr. Edd Salazar - S. J., will be at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2003 also at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
