About William de Cornwall
notes
From The Cornwall Family Possible Relatives of the Early Howards
3. Sir Walter de Cornwall (Earl Richard): of Branel, Cornwall [CIPM 3:483]; called brother of Edmund, earl of Cornwall. [no wife listed] known son: William
Douglas Richardson states "Walter de Cornwall, the illegitimate son of Richard Plantagenet, Earl of Cornwall."
My research that Walter received land in Brannel, Cornwall in 1300 by gift of his half brother, Edmund, Earl of Cornwall, and that Walter died in 1313, leaving as his heir, a son William, aged 26.
As according to FMG Medlands Richard de Cornwall of Thunnock had only three children: Geoffrey, Edmund and Joan, I am detaching this profile as son of
Richard de Cornwall of Thunnock
