William Turner and Sarah Ellzey had 8 Turner children: Lewis Ellzey, John Wheeler, Nancy Ann, William Jr., Sarah (m. Thomas Beatty), Thomas, Vincent, Thomasin Ellzey. William migrated to Belleville, Wood Co., WV by 1808 with at least 2 of his children: Thomas Turner and Thomasin Ellzey Ellzey.



In Lewis Ellzey's will, dated October 1786, he names his daughter Sarah Turner, wife of William Turner. The will also names five sons of William and Sarah.

G. S., DNA Kit #71182 is through Fielding Turner b 1706 Northumberland Co. VA, d1794 Loudoun Co. VA. He is thought to have had 2 or 3 wives--the last being Winifred Hawley (lineage of Kit 11893). Lineage from the newest testee is from Fielding's first wife, believed to be named Ann. Line of Descent -

William was the son of Major Fielding Turner and Anne Lewis natives of Virginia. He married Sarah Ellzey June 5, 1753 in Fairfax, Virginia. William and Sarah had eight known children: Lewis Ellzey; Sarah Beatty; John Wheeler; Nancy Ann Clark; Vincent; William; Thomas and Thomazin Ellzey Turner.

William received his share of his father's estate as a gift by deed dated July 15, 1754. It was approximately 200 acres and later sold to Moses Hopwood. It was probably a wedding present, since his son, Lewis Ellzey Turner, was born September 14, 1754. Although the land was actually given to him in 1752, the deed was not acknowledged until 1754.

His fathers will he states: I give to my son William Turner, 10 pounds current money and all my wearing apparel and no more of my estate.

William is named in the Virginia Public Claims, Fairfax County, as supplying 425 pounds of beef for American troops during the Revolutionary War. He was reimbursed 7.1.8.
