- 1698: John TABB, who had married Martha HAND, daughter of Richard HAND gave a receipt to William LOWRY, Sr, administrator of Richard HAND and also step father of Martha,. This receipt was "for her father's estate and for some stock left by Major Matthew WAKELIN, her grandfather-in-law."
- Hannah HAND Booker survived her second husband and on 11 August 1720, Hannah HAND (1) MARSHALL (2) BOOKER gave a power of attorney to William LOWRY, Sr [her stepfather] to acknowledge to Thomas KERBY of Charles parish, York County, her deed for 100 acres of land.
- 15 August 1720, William LOWRY deeded to his son, John LOWRY, "200 acres of land which came from John's mother Frances" [PUREFOY] Lowry, as "one of the Daughters and coeheires of Thomas PUREFIE [PUREFOY], deceased."

Whereas I give my daughter Frances Kirbie three Negroes during my pleasure, viz: Joyce, Robin, and Ned, my said daughter being dead and she having left five children, whereof one of them is since dead, and the said Negroes being increased to seven, I dispose of the said Negroes amongst my said grandchildren, thereof now being four, & request that Capt. Edw.(sic), my son John Lowry and their father Thomas Kirbie may divide the same accordingly.
To my son William Lowry my Negro man Samson, and the Negro woman Hannah and her boy Lemmon. To my daughter Margaret Booker my Negro woman Bess. To my son-in-law Thomas Kirbie my Negro boy Lifford. To my grandson William Booker my Negro boy George, but if he dies before he is of age, then his sister Frances may have the boy. To my grandson William Lowry my Negro girl Nan, but if he dies before he is of age, then his sister Francis may have said girl. To my son John Lowry, all the remaining part of my Negroes. To my son William Lowry all the land I have in Essex County or in King and Queen County, as also the lot in Hampton Town which I bought of Edmund Kerney. To my son William Lowry my scrutore and 20 head of cattle. To my son John Lowry my silver tankard and six of my best silver spoons. To my daughter Margaret Booker, my son William Lowry and Thomas Kirbie's children all the remaining part of my plate to be divided into three parts, my daughter and said son to have two parts and Kirbie's children to have one. To Thomas Kirbie my young gray horse and to his son a young mare. To my daughters-in-law Martha Tabb, Mary and Jane Lowry and my daughter Margaret Booker, 20 Pounds Sterling each. To my son William Lowry and my grandchildren of Thomas Kirbie all the money I have in England or Ireland in whosoever hands the same is as also the next proceeds of what tobacco I have in England unsold and likewise what tobacco I have to ship, my said son to have one moiety and the children to have the other to be equally divided among them. To my sons-in-law Richard Booker, Thomas Kirbie, and my son William Lowry all the new goods I have by me divided between them, the rest to be equally divided between my sons-in-laws, Richard Booker and Thomas Kirbie, and my two sons John and William Lowry. My son John Lowry and my son-in-law Thomas Kirbie sole exors. Witnessed :William Tucker, Susannah Tucker. His will is recorded in Book 1704-1730, page 17, Inventory Book 1440-1730 pages 25 & 29".

- In 1698 - John Tabb, gave a receipt to William Lowry, administrator of Richard Hand estate, and "Father in law [step-father] to Martha, Tabb's wife, for her father's estate, and for some stock left by Major Matthew Warkelin [Wakelin] her "Grandfather in law" [which meant the Wakelin married the widow of her grandfather Thomas Purefoy, Jr.]
- On 29 Dec 1698 - William was the surveyor for a land Patent grant for William Mallory's 274 acres and Robert Saylor's 1.5 acres in Elizabeth City Co. on Dec 29 1698 approved in general court of 1706.
- On 09 Jun 1699 - William Lowry was the court appointed county officer for Elizabeth City County, Virginia. Also in 1699, he was the court appointed Surveyor for Elizabeth City, Warwick and York Counties, Virginia.
- May 1700 - William was on a jury to try John Houghing, a Private. [1]
- 08 Jul 1702 - William Lowry was the court appointed Surveyor in 8th day of July 1702 for the Dominion of Virginia in Elizabeth City and Warwick Counties. [2]
