He was the son and heir, of Sir Hugh Bardolf 1st Baron Bardolf of Wormegay and Isabel de Aguillon, Heiress of Addington. He was born October 4, 1282 at Watton at Stone, Hertsford County, England. He was Knighted on May 12, 1306. He was summoned to Parliament from August 26, 1307 to October 23, 1330. He married Agnes, the daughter of William de Grandison, Seigneur de Grandison on Lake Neufchatel, Switzerland, by Blanche, daughter of Louis de Savoie, Baron Vaud.
