About Solomon (Sol) (Zalman) Kanterowitz (Cantor )
I am contacting you about this profile: Solomon (Sol) (Zalman) Kanterowitz (Cantor )
The Parents of My Grandmother, Hannah Levine Kanterovich, were
Zalmen ( Solomon ) Kanterovich( a Rabbi, Cantor, and Shoyket) and Sarah Boyarsky. Sarah died in a house fire in Pittsburgh with her daughter, Masha. Masha was cooking and the stove caught on fire. You have a (no name) for my Grandmother's Father in your tree. Another interesting note, when my grandfather, Abe Levine's Father, Mendel (my Great-Grandfather) passed away, his wife, Mary Levine married Zalmen. Therefore, my Grandparents were step-brother and step-sister. My Grandparents were married many years prior to becoming step-siblings; but, they were also embarrassed by that relationship.
Sincerely,
Barry Rulnick
