About Sir Walter de Beauchamp, of Elmley & Alcester, Sheriff of Worcestershire
http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLISHNOBILITYMEDIEVAL3.htm#_Toc38...
WALTER de Beauchamp of Alcester (-after 7 Jan 1269). "Willelmus de Bello Campo" granted "totum manerium meum de la Holte…cum advocatione ecclesie eiusdem" to "Johanni filio meo", with default to "Waltero fratri suo minori", by charter dated to [1258/69][972]. "Walterus filius Willelmi de Bello Campo" issued a quitclaim relating to "terra…in Schirrevelench" granted to him by his father by charter dated to [1259/69], witnessed by "Jacobo de Bello Campo…"[973]. The will of "William de Beauchamp", dated 7 Jan 1268, bequeathed property to "Walter my son...Joane my daughter...Isabel my daughter...Sibill my daughter...Sarah my daughter...William my eldest son...my daughter the countess his wife...Isabel my wife..."[974]. same person as...? WALTER de Beauchamp . m ALICE de Tosny, daughter of RAOUL [VI] de Tosny & his wife Pernel de Lacy. Pope Nicholas IV granted dispensation to “Walter de Bello Campo” and “Alice daughter of Ralph de Tonny to remain in the marriage they contracted in ignorance that they were related in the fourth degree of kindred”, and declared “their offspring legitimate”, dated 23 Sep 1289[975].
----------------------------------------
Note: The wife of Walter de Beauchamp of Elmley was Alice de Tosny (b. bef 1239), daughter of Raoul VI de Tosny & his wife Pernel de Lacy. Charles Cawley [http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLISHNOBILITYMEDIEVAL3T-Z.htm#Ali...] notes that "Pope Nicholas IV granted dispensation to 'Walter de Bello Campo' and 'Alice daughter of Ralph de Tonny to remain in the marriage they contracted in ignorance that they were related in the fourth degree of kindred”, and declared 'their offspring legitimate, dated 23 Sep 1289 [Bliss (1893), Vol. I, p. 503.
However, various sites have confused her with a possible niece Alice de Tosny possibly born c. 1254, possible daughter of her brother Roger VI and his wife Alice de Bohun, OR with her grandniece Alice de Tosny (aka de Toeni) b. 1284, daughter of Ralph VII de Tosny, who married Sir Thomas Leybourne, Guy de Beauchamp Earl of Warwick, and William la Zouche de Mortimer.

"However, generous endowments were given to the two younger sons, Walter and John: Walter was granted lands in south-west Warwickshire.
Walter was also to follow in the family's tradition of administrative service; in Prestwich's words he was ‘well schooled in the established tradition of the household’ and was a highly suitable choice for the post of steward of the royal household, an appointment which suited both his bureaucratic and military skills.
Walter was appointed as steward in 1289, became sole steward in 1292, and held this position until his death in early 1303. He served with the king in Flanders and Scotland, fighting alongside Edward in the battle of Falkirk and appears to have been a man much admired for his military prowess, but criticised for his arrogance; the Song of Caerlaverock describes Walter as ‘a knight who would have been one of the best of all, according to my opinion, if he had not been too proud and rashly insolent, but you won't hear anyone talk of the steward without a "but"’."
Sir Walter Beauchamp was the son of William Beauchamp and Isabel Mauduit.1 He was born before 1287. He died in 1303.3
He lived at Alcester, Warwickshire, England.3 He lived at Powick, Worcestershire, England.1

- Roger Beauchamp, 1st Baron Beauchamp of Bletsoe (c.1315 – 3 January 1380)[1][2] was an English soldier and peer who served both Edward III and his wife, Philippa of Hainault. He was an ancestor of Henry VII.
- Roger Beauchamp, perhaps born about 1315, was the son and heir of Roger de Beauchamp, a younger son of Sir Walter de Beauchamp and Alice de Tony, daughter of Roger de Tony of Flamstead, Hertfordshire.[3] Clarification of the above relationship is required as it conflicts with the inset information box which shows this Roger as the son of Walter instead of another Roger as the son of Walter. Further, the dates shown for Alice de Tony (Toeni) are shown as b. 26 Apr 1284 - d. 1 Jan 1324 elsewhere with her as being the only daughter of Ralph VII de Toeni and being married to Guy de Beauchamp. .... etc.
