Biography

Walter Dennis was born to Maurice Dennis and Joan Stradling of Olveton and Earthcott, Gloucestershire, England, as eldest son and heir. [1]

He married four times: (1) Unknown Fiennes, daughter of Unknown Fiennes, Lord Dacre of the South, no issue, (2) Agnes Danvers, daughter of Robert Danvers of Oxfordshire, (3) Agnes Mynne, widow, no issue (4) Alice Walwyn, widow of Thomas Baynham, no issue.[1]

Walter Dennis and Agnes Danvers were married before 1467 and had six children:[1]

   Anne
   Jane
   Katherine 

Sir William was Escheator of Glaucestershire in 1457, and Sheriff of Gloucestershire 1479-80 and 1493-4.[1]

He died 1 sep 1505 and was buried in Olveston.[1]
