From A Supplement to the Four Volumes of the Peerage of England by Arthur Collins: This Sir Thomas in 10 Henry III. confirmed the Grant, which Albreda his Grandmother made to the Priory of Haverholme of Lands in Wardebergh. He also granted to the said Priory, the Wold from Chipston towards Daneberhon, and from Stanton to Cotgrave, paying yearly half a Mark. He married Agnes, Daughter of Roger Bertram Baron of Mitford,... ... This Sir Thomas had in 37 Henry III. a Charter for Free Warren in his Lordships of Plumtree in Nottinghamshire , Bambrough, and Darrington in Yorkshire, and for a Market at his Manor of Elmley every Week, on Thursday, and a Fair to be held every Year, on the Eve and Day of Holy Cross, and the three following Days. In 1253, he granted and confirmed to Roche Abby, all those Lands, Tenements, &c. which they held in the Town of Mar, by Gift of Jordan Son of Philip de Mar. • Family Background. 141 Thomas Fitz William, Lord of Sprotborough, granted lands in Barnborough, Darfield, &c. to his daughter Dionis (widow of Robert Deyville), who gave Darfield to Adam her son. Adam d. s.p., being murdered, in or before 1282; John d'Eyville was his brother and heir [Hunter, South Yorkshire, vol. i, p. 372, vol. ii, p. 106: Coram Rege, Easter, 10 Edw. I, m. 2: De Banco, Hilary, 30 Edw. I, m. 173: York reg., Wickwane, p. 331]. Dionis was married to Robert in or before 1229. [Close Roll, 13 Hen. III, m. 3 d].

Agnes was the daughter of a Roger Bertram as well as a sister of another Roger Bertram who died leaving only one child, als named Agnes. This Agnes d.s.p. long before 29 Jan 1311, when the descendans of her father's four sisters were found to be her heirs. Among these were Sir William Fitz Thomas, son and heir of Sir Thomas Fitz William by Agnes, the first sister.
