"Sir Robert Denham, Baronet [S. 1693], of Westshield, formerly Robert Baillie, nephew and h., being s. and h. of the Rev. William Baillie, of Hardington, co. Lanark, Minister of Lamington, by Grizel (relict of John Weir), elder sister to the 1st Baronet, and da. of Robert Denham. He suc. to the Baronetcy, 1 Jan. 1712, under the entail of that dignity, and was, 3 March 1713, served heir of provision general to his said uncle. He m. Margaret, da. of ( — ). He d. before 25 Oct. 1737. Admon. at that date of his widow as " Dame Margaret Denham, of Old Place, co. Lanark, widow," granted to her son Alexander Denham, and again 4 Jan. 1748/9 as ( "Dame Margaret Denham, of Westshields, co. Lanark, widow," to her son 'Sir Robert Denham, Baronet."
