About Sir John Chaworth

Sir Thomas had by his second wife, Isabel de Ayles-bury, five sons and as many daughters. The two elder sons, William and John, married the two co-heiresses of Sir Nicholas Bowet, but their sons dying without male heirs, Johanna, the only daughter of William, succeeded to Alfreton as heiress, and married John Ormond, Esq. In Alfreton.
