1630 Thomas Fitch is born to Thomas and Anne (Stacie) Fitch in Bocking, Essex, England<ref name=Abbott>Abbott, Susan Woodruff. Families of Early Milford, Connecticut. Came to America and settled with his parents in Norwalk, CT. He was made a freeman by order of the General Court, May 21 1657. <ref name=Fitch/> about 1662 Thomas Fitch, son of Thomas and Anne (Stacie) Fitch, married Ruth Clark, daughter of George Clark<ref>Torrey, Clarence Almon. Torrey’sNew England Marriages Prior to 1700. Baltimore, MD: Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., 1985. Page 270. (Also on Ancestry) </ref><ref name=Utah /><ref name=Whittemore /> Ruth was the sister of Mrs. Abigail Pierson (wife of the first rector of yale college)and of Sarah, wife of the renowned Indian fighter, Reynold Marvin of Lyme <ref name=Fitch/>

1672 he was Sergeant of Train Band<ref name=Whittemore /> 1684 Thomas Fitch died in Norwalk, Connecticut<ref name=Abbott /><ref name=Utah /> He died about 20 years before his father Thomas Fitch I. He left a widow and a son Thomas III, not yet out of his teens, who was to be the father of Governor Thomas Fitch IV <ref name=Fitch/>

  2. Samuel, b. 1663 <<-- not found in Fitch Family source# Thomas, b. 1665 at Norwalk, CT. Died May 10 1731 at Norwalk, CT. He was the father, by his 1st wife Sarah, of Gov. Tomas Fitch IV, as well as other children. He later married Rhoda and Rachel<ref name=Fitch/># Mary, b. 1668 at Norwalk, CT. Married Daniel Terrill (1658-1727) ofMilford, CT. Deeded land from her mother Mrs. Ruth (Clark) Fitch to Daniel and Mary (Fitch) Terrill, in consideration that they renounce their rights in the estate of her son, Samuel Fitch deceased, in fvor of her son Thomas Fitch III (fahter of Governor Thomas Fitch IV) <ref name=Fitch/># Samuel, b. 1681, at Norwalk. He probably died young as no mention is made of his name on Norwalk records <ref name=Fitch/>
