Note: There's a Error record on family search confusing the parentage. This is not the daughter of the Patriot John Gilliland and his wife Elizabeth Young, The Patriot war hero John did not mention any Sarah in his will and citation sources doesn't have a Sarah in the list of children. This Sarah came from Down Ireland to Butler PA where John and Sarah Gordan family immigrated from and to. In the Gilliland Bio page lists Sarah as a daughter of John and Sarah Gordan mentions the family's immigration info. James and Sarah Thompson named two daughters after Sarah's sisters Mary Ann and Catherine and one daughter after Sarah her self and a son Andrew Thompson after her brother Andrew Gilliland and Pvt James Thompson after their father.
