To son William Bryan, a feather bed and furniture, to son Nathan Bryan, the land in New Bern which I hold by deed from John Isler and where said Nathan lives; to son Isaac Bryan, a negro named George, to daughter Mary Hatch, my wearing apparel and a suit of mourning clothes; to my granddaughter Anne, daughter of my son Thomas Bryan, deceased, a gold ring as her father's share of my estate; to my grandson, James Hardy Bryan, son of my son Hardy Bryan, deceasaed, a dictionary as his father's share of my estate; to son Lewis Bryan, all the rest of my estate.
