Col Samuel Beeler, Jr. .

His parents were Captain Samuel Beeler, Sr. and Amelia Beeler (Hurst).

Samuel married Mary Beeler (Graves) circa June 11, 1787 in probably, Fayette County, West Virginia, United States. Together they had the following children: Isabela Rockhold (Beeler); Samuel Beeler, III; Elizabeth Dollahan (Beeler); William Beeler, Sr; Mary Henry (Beeler); George Beeler; Amelia Kelly (Beeler); Nancy Hill (Beeler); Lavina Rynearson (Beeler).

He died on January 14, 1840 in McLean County, Illinois, United States and was buried in East Twin Grove Cemetery, Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois, United States.

"BEELER, Samuel, b County, Virginia, (?) about 1760. [Captain,Samuel Beeler's Company , Virginia Militia , War of the Revolution.] Settled in McLean County, Ill. about 1830, d. near Twin Grove, Jan. 14,1840. [Date of death on Gravestone not correct.] Buried in East Twin Grove Cemetery, Sec. 35, Dry Grove Township, McLean County, Ill. (See Duis' "Good Old Times" 1874 , Page 425, also 8th Annual Report, Virginia State Library, iojo-'ii, Page 41 , and Box 4, Case 139, Estate Files, McLean County, Ill. Information also from G. W. Henry, Grandson,Bloomington, Ill 1912.)
