About Rodrigo Rodríguez de Lara, señor de Peñalba, Quintanilla y Traspinedo
- http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/SPANISH%20NOBILITY%20LATER%20MEDIEV...
a) [RODRIGO Rodríguez . Salazar y Castro records his parentage[1342]. The charter dated to [1166/80], under which [his supposed brother] "Petrus Ruderici filius comiti" donated land "in Gormezes" to Burgos Cathedral, with the consent of "neptis mee Marie de Almenar"[1343], suggests that Rodrigo is unlikely to have been the brother of Pedro Rodríguez. In that document, "neptis mee Marie de Almenar" is identified as the daughter of Pedro´s deceased sister Elvira, wife of Armengol [VII] Comte de Urgell. The consent given to the donation would have been given in her capacity as Pedro´s heir. If that is correct, it is unlikely that Pedro had other brothers and sisters who left children.
m ---. The name of Rodrigo´s wife is not known.
