Robert de Welle (William de /Welle/ & Haughley, Robert de /Welle/ & Haughley, William de /Welle/, of Claxby & Well, Walter FitzRagemer de /Welle/, of Claxby & Well) was born ABT 1226 in Well, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England, and died BEF 24 SEP 1265 in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.

He married Isabel de Periton in 1st husband, daughter of Adam de /Periton/, of Faxton and Sarah de /Ellington/. She was born ABT 1235 in Faxton, Northamptonshire, England, and died BEF 5 JAN 1314/15 in Malton Priory, Yorkshire, England.

Children of Robert de /Welle/, Escheator of Lindsey and Isabel de /Periton/ are:

1. Philip de Welle was born ABT 1254 in Well, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England, and died AFT 1276 in (dsp).
2. William de Welle was born ABT 1257 in Well, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England, and died 21 APR 1288 in (dsp).
3. Adam 1st Baron de Welles was born ABT 1260 in Well, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England, and died 1 SEP 1311 in Greenfield Priory, Lincolnshire, England.

WILLIAM de Vescy (19 Sep 1245-Malton 19 Jul 1297). Lord Vescy. m (after 25 Jul 1266) as her second husband, ISABEL de Periton, widow of ROBERT de Welle, daughter of ADAM de Periton of Ellington, Northumberland & his wife [Sarah ---] (-before 5 Jan 1315). A manuscript concerning the founders of Watton priory records that “Willielmum de Vescy”, son of “Willielmum de Vescy secundum”, married “Isabella filia Roberti de Peryngton…relicta domini Roberti de Welles”[454].

He [William de Vescy] married, after 25 July 1266, Isabel, widow of Sir Robert DE WELLE (died shortly before 24 September 1265), 2nd daughter and coh. of Adam DE PERITON (died shortly before 24 February 1265/6), of Ellington, Northumberland, Faxton, co. Northampton, and Rampisham, Dorset, probably by Sarah. He died s.p.s. legitimate 19 July 1297 at Malton, aged 51, when any Barony which may be supposed to have been created by the writ of 1295 became extinct.
