About Rfn. Claude Pycroft

Claude Pycroft was born at Riverton in New Zealand's South Island on 22 June 1894. His parents were Henry Pycroft and Ada Pycroft (Swindale) who had earlier that year. Claude served during World War I. He was killed at the Somme in Northern France on 15 September 1916 and is remembered on the Caterpillar Valley New Zealand Memorial.
