Was son in law of Rabbi Shmuel Zanvill Klappish, who was married to Rabbi Hayim Volozhiner's great Grand daughter. He practiced as the Warsaw Rabbi for forty eight years, and thirteen years as Rabbi of Jerusalem (the Old and the New one).
