From the Madison County Record, March 1, 1907: Abner G. Tweed, father of our fellow townsman, C.W. Tweed, died at his home at White Rock Monday, Feb. 4. Mr. Tweed was one of the county's oldest and best known citizens, a prominent member of the Masonic Order, and was for a number of years Sheriff of Madison County.
