About Pedro Teves
Pedro Teves was a FIlipino politician. In 1898, he was elected Negros Oriental delegate of agriculture and commerce of the Republic of Negros (Aldecoa-Rodriguez, 1986). He later served as municipal president of Dumaguete, Negros Oriental from 1903 to 1907, and again from 1934 to 1940. He represented the second district of Negros Oriental at the House of Representatives of the Philippines from June 3, 1919 to June 6, 1922. 'Tan Pedro Street in Dumaguete is named after him (Peña-Reyes Makil, 2011).
