PENTZ MICHAEL (S). Lübeck. Son of the silk-merchant Michael P. and Cecilia Ritter. * 9.8.1700 (W. Schmidt, p. 102). So. 1723, assistant 1725-27. According to W. Schmidt, p. 102, he was since 1728 bookkeeper on the Spieringshoek, which plied between the Cape and Delagoa Bay; according to Rq. 1735-36: 23 he came (back ?) to the Cape in 1731 as adelborst, appointed assistant the same year, bookkeeper 1732-35, b. 1735. ~ 21.10.1731 Johann Barbara Oberholster (see Oberholster under Immigrants from Switzerland). 10 children. + 1750.
