About McKenzie Bezos
MacKenzie Bezos (born January 1, 1970) is an American novelist and the wife of Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com.
Bezos was raised in San Francisco, California by a father who was a financial planner and a mother who was a homemaker. She attended Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and graduated from Princeton University. She studied under writer Toni Morrison, who said Bezos was "one of the best students I’ve ever had in my creative-writing classes."
In 1992, MacKenzie worked for Jeff Bezos at D.E. Shaw, a New York City hedge fund. They married in 1993,and moved to Seattle, Washington in 1994. They have four children.
In November 2013, MacKenzie Bezos wrote an extensive review of a newly-released book The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon by Bloomberg Businessweek journalist Brad Stone about Amazon.com. She chose to publish her critique of the book, which she says "has too many inaccuracies" and is a "misrepresentation of the culture at the world’s largest online retailer",as an Amazon.com review, with a 1-star rating.
