About Maud (or Elizabeth) White

Her birth date, as given, indicates that she could not have been the mother of Richard White "II", Susan Clarenceux, et al.

She could, however, have been their grandmother.

Which branch of the Tyrrell family she belonged to is uncertain. She was probably not the daughter of the William Tyrrell who was killed at Barnet.

The testator’s eldest son, Sir William Tyrrell (d.1471?), is also said to have had two daughters, Alice Tyrrell, who married John or Robert Rochester, and Maud Tyrrell, who married Robert White (see King, supra, p. 90). However in the will below the testator names the two daughters of Sir William Tyrrell as Elizabeth Tyrrell and Alice Tyrrell.
