VCH - Lancashire, vol I, William Farrer, 1861-1924:. URL: http://archive.org Page: 366-75 "stated that she was the eldest dau. of Margery Banaster & Richard FitzRoger of Woodplumpton. However, I think she was a generation earlier (Maud was m. 1180 and her next sister was m. 1205), and Farrer did say that she was called Banastre in 1206. Therefore I think she was a daughter of Robert, brother of the Thurstan who was father of Margery."
