Mary Clayton, daughter of Samuel Clayton & Susannah, probably died by 1735. She was the wife of the 3rd Robert Coleman (b 1682 - died before 13 May 1748 in Picadilly, Caroline County, Virginia), son of Robert Coleman and Ann Spilsbe.
Robert Coleman’s marriage date to Mary Clayton, and the birth dates of several of his children, were found in an old vellum pocket notebook marked "Robert Coleman, His Book" (VA Historical Magazine, Vol. 54, 1946, p. 258)
