Samuel Gutknecht was born about 1761 in Germantown near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the son of immigrants Christian Gutknecht and his wife Maria Magdalena Grünholtz.
Marriage: He married 28 Jan 1784 in Germantown Magdalena Berkheimer. The marriage took place in St. Michaels Evangelical Lutheran Church. [1]
He married 2nd to Polly White on 10 Jun 1824 in Ross County, Ohio.[2]
