About Margaret Walker - Harris, Free Settler “Sabrina” 1853

Ros Notes: Margaret Harris is my husband's great great aunt. I have done all the research on this profile.

Margaret was married first to Walker, second to Harris. She died as Margaret Harris (Walker nee Jackman). Names are in order of use.

She had children from both marriages so could have been known as both names Harris and Walker.

Harris/Walker. The name is not hyphenated. The surname did not need to be changed and locked.

Margaret Jackman had arrived in Western Australia from Ireland in 1853 by the Bride Ship "Sabrina"; dairy maid Kilkenny.

Margaret Jackman; born c1830 to Martin Jackman and Anastatia (Corcoran); information from John Jackman in Ireland who has researched his family.

Martin Jackman named as her father on Marriage register 1853 to George Walker.

Margaret's other relationship to her son-in-law Martin Jackman who married Margaret's daughter Ellen:

Margaret's father was Martin Jackman, and young Martin's father was William, the son of Martin.
So, Margaret Jackman was a sister of William, therefore an Aunt of young Martin who's wife Ellen was his cousin.

Ros Notes that her father is named "William" by whomever provided the death details; this is incorrect according to the information I have been given by John Jackman in Ireland, and Marriage register.
