About Louis Alphonse, Duke of Anjou

Louis XX Bourbon & Marinez-Bordeaux, King Legitimist-Pretender of France and Duke of Anjou,
Luis Alfonso Gonzalo Víctor Manuel Marco de Borbón y Martínez-Bordiú

The term "King Legitimist-Pretender" (to differenciate it from "King-Pretender") does not mean that he is pretending to be the king; it means that if the monarchy had not been abolished, he would be (if he is currently alive) or would have been (during his lifetime) the legitimate rightful king of France. For example, if (God forbid) the British monarchy were abolished and replaced with another form of government (such as a republic like the United States) during the reign of Elizabeth's son Charles, Charles would then be King Legitimist-Pretender, meaning that he WOULD be king if the monarchy had not been abolished; from that point on, when Charles died, William would then be King Legitimist-Pretender, and so on through his rightful heirs. While this title holds no weight in the government during their lifetime, the title can make the bearer a social and political influencer, and they would definitely hold a level of celebrity (whether it be of good or bad celebrity depends on the individual).

Born 25 April 1974 in Madrid Spain, he is the head of The House of Bourbon by primogeniture. The Bourbons are the royal family of Spain. Members of the family formerly ruled France and other countries. As a legitimist-pretender to the French throne, he is styled Louis XX and Duke of Anjou.
