About Lieut. Charles Watt

Lieutenant Charles Watt served for Aotearoa New Zealand during the South African War (Boer War) (1899-1902). During World War I (1914-1918) he served with the the 6th (Manawatū) Squadron. Charles was killed in action at Gallipoli on 30 May 1915 while the battle raged with the Ottomans over the No. 3 Outpost. He was my third great uncle – Debbie McCauley (2013, updated 2025).
